Understanding Equal Pay Day
Equal Pay Day is more than just a date on the calendar; it's a powerful global movement spearheaded by Business & Professional Women (BPW) to highlight the ongoing wage gap between men and women. In Slovakia, the gender pay gap is 16.6%, well above the EU 12.7 % average [1]. This day marks when women effectively start to earn compared to their male counterparts from the previous year. It's a call to action for fairness in the workplace.
Menity's Active Participation in Equal Pay Day
As a Partner in Slovakia's first Equal Pay Day event, organized by Akčné Ženy o.z, Menity showcased its commitment to actionable change. In the past year, we've proudly assisted our clients in filling 48% of leadership roles with highly talented women. We're proud of our progress, but we know there's more to do.
A Hub for Meaningful Conversations
Organized by the dynamic Akčné Ženy o.z., [2] the event became a melting pot of ideas and discussions. From the importance of equal pay to supporting mothers returning to work and advocating for flexible working arrangements, the event covered it all. The involvement of students from The British International School Bratislava added a youthful perspective, emphasizing the need for fair compensation for all. Esteemed women leaders, businesswomen, and experts share their inspiring stories, insightful suggestions, and best practices.
